Upcoming Local Running Events
We love being based in such a lovely area in Surrey, with Guildford and Godalming right on our front door!
We wanted to bring to you some local fitness events that you could get involved with over the next few months if you’re up for the challenge!
So let’s jump straight into it…
KELLY’S 10K RUN - Guildford
19th February 2022
Free
Coming very quickly in the next few days is the annual Kelly’s 10k & 5k run. This event is free but it does take any donations for the Rainbow Trust, the Alzheimer’s Society and the Oakleaf Enterprise. It is organised in partnership with the University of Surrey’s Student Union, and the route passes through some of Guildford’s landmarks like the Cathedral. If you’re wanting to see some more of the local area and enjoy a fun fitness event at the same time, get involved with this one!
JIGSAW RUN 10K- Dunsfold, Cranleigh
27th February 2022
£26-£28
The Jigsaw Run is a great opportunity to run at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, home of the BBC’s Top Gear and support children and adults with autism. This 10k fast and flat route is perfect for runners chasing down a PB or looking to do a 10k for the first time.
MERCER SURREY HALF MARATHON- Woking
6th March 2022
£12-38
The Mercer Surrey Half Marathon is Surrey’s largest half marathon, where you are also able to choose between other running lengths such as 5k and a kid’s run.
The chip-timed 13.1 mile run follows a professionally marked and measured single loop along fully-closed roads from central Woking into the surrounding countryside. It is a relatively flat course, so another good one for trying to achieve your personal best!
The event includes live performances from local bands, aid stations and communities of cheering spectators- we’d recommend this for a good atmosphere and good running route!
LOSELEY PARK 5K & 10K RUN- Guildford
10th April 2022
£22- £25
Set against the backdrop of the beautiful, 16th-century Loseley House, the Loseley Park 10K and 5K offer a fantastic running experience.
Both distances are a challenge for any runner, this may be more of a challenging route, with plenty of muddy hills. We advise you to not forget your trail running shoes!
